5 Vegan Breakfast for Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day should be full of surprises, and waking up with the delicious and appetizing aroma of a well planned meal is one way to dazzle your partner.  Start the special day right with a hearty and delectable homemade breakfast. We’ve rounded up a few of our best loved recipes from Vegan cooks around the world.  Enjoy!

1. Fruit Cake

If you love spice and fruits, this cake will surely delight you and your better half.  The cinnamon brings out the flavor of apricots and plums, and adds a warm and decadent tang.

Muffins are one of the top choices when it comes to breakfast dishes.  Its basic and versatile recipe makes it a favorite among a lot of people.  Here’s a vegan version of a muffin that you won’t be able to resist.

I know that for some, it’s a little strange to put carrots into pancakes but trust me when I say that this recipe is absolutely delicious. Coconuts are a craze these days, and mixing a little bit into the batter not only packs more nutrients but also adds texture and flavor.

4. Dark Chocolate Stuffed Scones

Want a cake and bread in one scrumptious bite? Try some scones.  There are evidently several versions of scones, but we chose this chocolate stuffed treat for this special occasion. This chocolaty delicacy is filled with goodness that will certainly leave you with a sweet satisfaction.

5. Raspberry Shortbread

Ahh..and here come’s my favourite..shortbread!  Technically, this type of biscuit is made with one part white sugar, two parts butter, and three parts flour (by weight) but that regular recipe just won’t work in a vegan concoction. Fortunately with a lot of creativity, there’s a way around that trouble. Meet vegan raspberry shortbread. This fine blend is made with irresistible berries, shredded coconut and ground walnuts. Try it and this dainty treat will completely blow you and your partner’s mind!
